A happy group of gals took a bus from Quilt in a Day to the Long Beach Quilt Show. They are most excited to get off the bus and start spending.
Our booth looked enticing, filled with quilts, books, patterns and notions. I spent much of the time in one corner of our booth, signing books and meeting some of you.
Sandy Klop stopped by. She designs her line of American Jane Patterns plus Moda fabric under the same name. One of the projects for our next Block of the Month features her “Punctuation” line in a cute little quilt good enough to eat. (YES, that is a hint.)
Many years ago, I had masks made….we still like to have fun with them.
Humm…wonder what is tempting these shoppers?
And what did I do when I got back to work….I actually put my feet up! I cleaned my office prior to the show and was delighted to find space for my feet. It is usually impossible! My desk usually overflows with scribbled notes, fabric samples, ideas, strong coffee and sharp yellow pencils. With that said, best get busy, there is work to do!

Thanks for sharing insights on IQF Long Beach. I missed the show this year and definitely missed visiting you and your booth. Your shop’s bus trip sounds delightful. Hopefully next year I won’t be on vacation and can see you at IQF Long Beach.

Overflowing ideas, fabric, strong coffee…all the ingredients for well spent days. And even nights.
Loved meeting you (again!) at the LB show… And my sister loves the Victory Quilts book you graciously signed for her. She’s already planning her next quilt from it!
Thanks for sharing all your “overflowing ideas” with us over the years – you have made quilting Sew Much Fun, and Sew Easy! Thanks also, for being so accessible to your many fans!!
The very best part of my travels is meeting quilters like you. Wish your sister good luck with her Victory Quilt.
Hello Eleanor…I just signed up with “Sew Many Places” to take the Royal Caribben cruise “Quilting with Eleanor Burns” September 11-18, 2011. I can’t believe I have to wait for a YEAR to cruise with you and Sue Bouchard. My husband is so excited for me to attend; he’s staying home and I’m hoping to bring our 30 year old daughter to share the room with me on the cruise ship AND take your classes. Just wanted to thank you for all your hard work and keep smiling. You always cheer me up!!!
The cruise is “just” a year away…time will go fast. I will look forward to meeting you and your daughter. Thank you for your kind compliments!
